The year 2012 was filled with heartbreak with the loss of many of our favourite shelties. On June 25, 2012, we said goodbye to BISS CH. HIGHLEDGE SOMETHING TO TALK ABOUT (MADDISON) at the age of 13. Maddison was one of the official greeters at Highledge and was loved by everyone who met her. She is behind all the dogs that remain here.Less than three months later on September 3rd, 2012 we lost our beloved CH. HIGHLEDGE CREAM ROMC (Bailey) due to Pancreatitis. Our hearts were broken to loose him at such a young age, he was our couch potato, our bed bug, our stud muffin. We think of him and miss him every day.At the time of his death Bailey was the sire of 20 Champions. He made us so proud.2012 also saw the loss of CH.HIGHLEDGE FANFARE(far left) at almost 15 years old, as well as BPIG CH.HIGHLEDGE TAPESTRY GIFT OF GAB, (centre) and HIGHLEDGE SERENITY. (right)Our condolence to the owners who provided these three gorgeous girls with their forever homes, when they retired. The handsomeBPIG CH. Congratulations again this year to Oliver and Marilyn. The litter brothers Isaac & Elliot both achieved their CGN titles, and Elliot also added his CD. Congratulations to Sue Pike on her achievements with these two special boys.A thank you to Stephanie Torenvliet and CH. HIGHLEDGE TITUS on obtaining Titus's Championship in just seven shows. Titus is Stephanie's first show dog, her first experience with showing, and Titus was the only Highledge Champion for 2012.And on a happier note to end the year our darlingCH.HIGHLEDGE AUDITION, (IZZIE) went to the last show of 2012, (Elora Gorge Kennel Club) and came home with threeBest of Breed, a Group Second, and a Group Third. This was the first time in almost three years Izzie had been to show. Our sincere thanks to Shirley Perry for making Izzie shine. We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
